Just For Today – Day 6 - Putting Off Fear by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put off all…FEAR
For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:

We read:
“The Lord is my helper, I will not fear.” Hebrews 13:6 (NKJV)
We hear:
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
We believe:
” the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deut. 31:8 (NKJV)
We say:
“In God I have put my trust; I will not fear.” Psalm 56:4 (NKJV)

Yet, sometimes, fear still comes upon us, and it is at that moment that we must stop and remind ourselves to put off all fear and claim the victory we have been given in Jesus Christ!

So, Just for Today, let’s pray for the Lord’s strength to put off all Fear in our lives so we can walk confidently through our day without any fear to hold us back from doing the work He has prepared for us to do for Him.

Today’s Prayer:
Dear God, You tell me all through Your word that I should not fear for You are always near to protect, provide and guide.
So, Just for Today, Dear Lord, with Your help, I will put off all fear for in You…I have power, not fear.

In Christ…I have the power to love my enemies instead of fearing them.
In Christ…I am able to do good to those who hate me.
In Christ…fear is defeated by love.
In Christ…I have a sound mind to rule my thoughts.
In Christ.. I can take every thought captive and reject those thoughts that are fearful.

So Just for Today, instead of letting fear rule me, I will remember that You are my Helper, who is always with me, and that I need not fear anyone or anything.
