Before Our Time Of Needing It

Being exposed to recovery when it's not our time can prove to hinder our ability to get it when we need it the most. There was a time when recovery was only known to those who were in it. Nowadays it is everywhere and lots of us are exposed to it when there isn't any need for us to be, and what this does is it allows us to get a false impression of what recovery is all about. This is because we really don't understand needing it right then, and unfortunately when and if we ever do need it, we can't' get it, because of this false idea that we have of it. Because of this many of us will look elsewhere when our time of need comes along and we want to get help with this problem. There is nowhere we can go that can help us with this problem more than recovery can and this has been proved by the many of us who have looked elsewhere and returned to recovery to report this fact. It always comes down to this: if we want recovery badly enough we'll do anything we need to do to get it, and if we don't, we won't get it, and that is too bad because without recovery it's almost certain what's going to happen to next, and that never has a good ending.
