Where We All Begin

When we all arrive at recovery our problems seem so complex that it just overwhelms us, constantly no matter where we turn it just gets worse, we never seem to get that long sought after big break we've all been longing for, it just never comes and we become defeated. Things will continue along this line for a while until, life itself seems too impossible to want to live any longer, we'll then arrive at being beyond hope. All of us know what that feels like. This is where we have to be, for recovery to begin for all of us, in the darkness of hopelessness. Fear not, even though none of us have liked having to go through this, we have found a way out of it through recovery. It showed us how we weren't just a hopeless failure, that it's just that we are powerless, and then it showed us how we could find the power we were all missing. If you want that, and are willing to do what we have done, then you can have that too, and the best part is it's for free. The only thing it's going to cost us is a little bit of our pride.
