His Love Strengthens Me

If it wasn't for my God, I wouldn't be here in today. The last 2 weeks have been difficult, without my faith and trust, not sure where I would be. I would hate to think it would be back using, but certainly not in a very good place. Depression hurts.

My son leaves tomorrow for Vancouver at 8 a.m. He has been wanting to go back since he came home. He felt that he had to be here, taking care of me. I told him, it is about you doing what you need to do for yourself. If he had been clean and sober, it would have made a difference. As long as he chooses active addiction, it is best that he is not in my space.

It is hard to be positive when all you get met with is anger and negativity. His Love has strengthened me and allowed me to make choices that are healthy to me. I can't live my son's life for him. He has his own God, even though he suffers from lack of faith, it is still his choice. He has been in treatment 5 times, and he still chooses to use.
