Default Blessed

Faith Writers' Devotional

Our Daily Devotional:

Blessed

Matthew 5:3-6 NIV: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Looking back at my life, I consider the many things God has done. I consider his intercession, His intervention, His guidance and love. All in all, I cannot fully grasp how blessed beyond measure I truly am. And who can? In how many ways within each day does God in unseen ways help us? He is our guide, our refuge, our rock, and our fortress. He is our comfort, our help, our friend, and our advocate. He is our faithful Father and He is our dearest friend. And He is so easily taken for granted. Perhaps more so by those of us who have very little to want or need. One might wonder why we stand amazed by people who seem to have nothing, yet they praise God because they see themselves as blessed. Perhaps they are blessed more than those who seem to have much. For they cling to nothing but that which is unseen—beheld only in the face of God.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
