Default Going Down The Wrong Path

Being responsible for how everything turns out and wanting to be in control of that, is what robs all of us of any real chance at being able to live our life, and to let things happen as they're meant to be so we can. All of us who have done this are ruining our life when we are trying to take control and be responsible for everything. This was our way of having control of something even though this doesn't work. We all keep on trying as hard as we can to make this work but it never does. We're all heading down the wrong path when we're all trying to be in control of something and everything else, except for the one thing that all of us can control and that's ourselves. Recovery teaches how we can be in control of ourselves by first showing us that we can accept ourselves as we are in order to become who we can be. This is something that none of us thought of doing or would even consider as something that works. The first benefit we all get after having done this, accepting ourselves as we are, is for us to be able to enjoy our life with all our imperfections that we all have. How impossible it seems to all of us who have to be in control of everything, that this could be true. The only way we'll never know that this is true is when we give up trying to be in control of everything else and instead try to accept ourselves as we are.
