Default Draw Near to God

Draw Near to God

“It is good for me to draw near to God.” Psalm 73:28

In drawing near to God, all of life comes into perspective. Developing a close relationship with our Father makes all the difference in the world. Trials are easier to bear when the arms of our Father surround us. Questions come into focus when we share them with the God who knows the end from the beginning. All the heartaches of this earth melt away when we spend time in the Father’s presence and He reveals His will to us. There is nothing but good that comes from drawing near to God, because His Word tells us that when we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. An intimate relationship with our Father will be the result of drawing near to Him. We will have a sanctuary where we can go when the storms of life hit. We will have a place in which to take refuge. We will have a quiet place where we can hear His still small voice speak to us, giving us direction and comfort. Draw near to God today and experience the wonder of His presence.

Father, surely it has been good for me to draw near to You. Good seems like such an inadequate word to describe the benefits of what I have gained by spending time with You. Thank You for always waiting with open arms for me to come to You. Thank You for Your patience and Your grace. Help us to experience Your love more and more each day as we draw near to You. Amen Quiet Waters
