Teach others about God

Many people in this world really don’t know where to turn when they are lonely, depressed or upset. They go to the things of the world for temporary help but end up back in the same situation as before. Sometimes things are even worse the second time around. It gets to be a vicious cycle as they search continuously for something better that will help the cope. Some even seek money as their way out. Our job, as believers, is to seek out these people and share God’s word with them. God has all we need to have peace. He brings hope in any situation. We are to teach others about God so they won’t trust in the world.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Timothy 6:17 “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down what those you know are dealing with.
2. List the Scriptures you can share with them about God’s promises.
3. Know God wants us to share His word with all people.
4. Decide to make it a priority today to point others to Jesus.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we know people trust in so many things in this world. They trust in money. They trust in the media. They trust in drugs or alcohol. They trust in many worldly things. Help us today to see those in need and tell them about You. We want to share Your love, Your word and Your promises to them. We know You bring hope that nothing in this world can bring. We love You Lord and thank You for all You are. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
We are to teach others about God so they won’t trust in the world.

When we share God’s word with others, we are sharing hope and love that will help them in hard times.

People who trust the world rather than God’s word will be let down every time.

Those who see money as their solution will soon be disappointed.

God’s word is truth and provides help for us while we are on this earth.

We do not belong to this world, as believers, and should always seek God for help in every situation
