Welcome Jen, I know what you mean. I went to an Adult Children of Alcoholics meeting and was so grateful that I found AA first. I think I would have died in my denial. I go to AA because of that denial, I went to NA for identification, and in Al-Anon, I found myself.

Thank you for making the decision to join our small family. I haven't been able to do much posting lately, not as I would like.

My name is Martini. My dry date is July 25 2006. Recently I have gone through some major life changes and what came out of that was the realization that I was relying on my program but not doing anything to make it ,stronger. Consequently, my old defences started to return (anger, fear etc.). I realize this now after attending a meeting last night and talking with a new member. Because of that, I am recommitting my efforts to the steps with my Higher Powers aid. I will now reconnect with the God of my understanding

I'm Helen from Sweden. I joined AA in February this year. As so many others I tried to get sober without help, but that didn't help. I'm so grateful to having found this programme. I read your texts each day and take down notes.
