God Forgives

GOD FORGIVES

Without forgiveness, we would be lost. Forgiveness is one thing that helps us to continue on. When we repent to God, we are forgiven. We can start again. We have a clean slate. We are restored and renewed. We have hope. That is why it is so important to forgive others. Because God forgives us and allows us to start over, we should forgive others and start a new relationship with them. God’s forgiveness is why we have hope for the future and why we have eternal life.

Acts 5:31 “Then, with mighty power, God exalted him to be a Prince and Savior, so that the people of Israel would have an opportunity for repentance, and for their sins to be forgiven.” (TLB)

Dear Lord, thank You for forgiving us for our sins. Thank You for allowing Jesus to die for us and allow us to have eternal life. You bring us hope in our daily walk and we know we can always come to You for guidance and direction. Your word gives us the instruction we need to live and obey You. Help us to remember to seek You daily, search our hearts for any sin and come to You and repent. Thank You for an opportunity for repentance and for our sins to be forgiven. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

An opportunity to begin again in a relationship with God and others begins with forgiveness.

When we are forgiving, we are being obedient to God.

God forgives us when we repent and turn from our sins. He bring us hope when we feel like all is lost.

God’s forgiveness is why we have hope for the future and why we have eternal life.

Because we have been forgiven by God, we need to be forgiving toward others.

Ephesians 4:32 “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” (NLT)

Focus: Because God forgives, we can start over every day with a new beginning.
