September 16

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him. 1 Chronicles 16:11

Romans 11:29 (NIV) ...God's gifts and His call are irrevocable.

Thought: So you fell down. Get back up. God's not finished with you.

2 Timothy 4:1-2 (NIV) I give you this charge: Preach the Word.

Thought: Be ready. Anytime. Anywhere. On an airplane. Or at a park.

September 17

So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. Galatians 6:9

Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:24

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Thought: The Master Builder is making you into a masterpiece.

Mark 8:33 (NLT) Jesus said, "You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God's."

Thought: It's easy to get bogged down in our emotions and miss the way. Stop, drop and pray for a divine perspective on your situation.

September 18

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. 1 Corinthians 15:58

Hebrews 11:7 (NIV) By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.

Thought: Believe God's word. It'll save your life.

Psalm 19:1 (NIV) The heavens declare the glory of God.

Thought: Look up. Let your eyes see God's wonders.

September 19

There is a time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:4

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Isaiah 44:26 (NIV) God carries out the words of His servants...

Thought: Pray boldly. Speak boldly. Believe boldly. God can handle big ideas that bring glory to Him.

Genesis 26:12 (NIV) Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him.

Thought: Where is God asking you to give? Don't be afraid to follow through.

September 20

But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded. 2 Chronicles 15:7

Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Ephesians 6:13

Isaiah 43:2 (NIV) When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.

Thought: Trials and troubles aren't a matter of if, but when. But God is strong. He will carry you through.

Matthew 6:10 (NIV) "Your kingdom come, Your will be done..."

Thought: It's not just a prayer. It's a way of life.

September 21

To all who mourn in Israel, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning. Isaiah 61:3

So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. Hebrews 2:1

Jeremiah 31:25 (NIRV) "I will give rest to those who are tired. I will satisfy those who are weak."

Thought: Depend on God's strength -- not your own.

Psalm 86:11 (NIV) ...give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.

Thought: Our hearts get tugged in many directions. Which way will you choose?

September 22

She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Proverbs 31:25

He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. Proverbs 2:7

Psalm 89:1 (NIV) ...with my mouth I will make Your faithfulness known through all generations.

Thought: Go-n-tell. It's God's will for you.

Genesis 26:22 (NIV) Isaac said, "Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land."

Thought: Grow where God leads. He has good things in store.

September 23

Such love has no fear, perfect love expels all fear. 1 John 4:18

So I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun. Ecclesiastes 8:15

Isaiah 42:6 (NIV) I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness...

Thought: You were made for more. Let God lead your life. Completely.

Daniel 11:32 (TLB) ...the people who know their God shall be strong and do great things.

Thought: Don't settle for mediocrity in your walk with Christ when you can be mighty.

Today’s Scripture: James 1:12 (NLT): God blesses the people who patiently endure testing. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Today’s Thought: When we endure testing & hardships we must keep our heads up. We must remember that God knows what we are going through & He will take care of us!

Today’s Prayer: Lord, help me trust You no matter what comes at me today. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life,and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. 1 Timothy 6:8

Isaiah 42:6b (NIV) ...I will take hold of your hand.

Thought: With God, you will never ever live life alone.

Daniel 11:33 (TLB) Those with spiritual understanding will have a wide ministry of teaching...

Thought: Others who have poured into you. Now its your turn to pour yourself into others.

September 25

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 1 John 4:9

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength. Proverbs 17:22

Isaiah 42:9 (NIV) See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.

Thought: God has great big plans for you. Best of all, He'll show you.

Romans 16:17 (NIV) I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions...

Thought: Support your pastor. Support your church. Stay in the place God has called you to serve.

September 26

The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10

So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. Ecclesiastes 3:22

Isaiah 42:16 (NIV) ...I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.

Thought: Just when you thought you couldn't make it any longer, God makes a way out for you.

1 Corinthians 2:3 (NIV) Paul said, "I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling."

Thought: Paul's start as a missionary was quite modest. But there's a lesson: rely on God, not on yourself, and things will be ok.

Today’s Scripture: James 1:16-17 (NLT): So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

Today’s Thought: Every blessing we receive comes from God. It is important that we always give Him all the glory. We are unable to do anything without Him.

Today’s Prayer: Lord, thank You for blessing me even when I do not deserve it. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise Philippians 4:8

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Romans 5:3

Ezekiel 34:11 (NIV) I myself will search for my sheep and look after them.

Thought: God's looking out for you. Always.

Deuteronomy 6:5 (NIV) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Thought: There's a fight for your affection. But only God deserves it.

This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

Jesus replied, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water." John 4:10

Isaiah 7:9 (NIV) If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.

Thought: The Redeemer is the Rock. Hold on to Him with everything you've got.

Psalm 51:10 (NIV) Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Thought: A powerful prayer. Make it your plea today.

Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor. Proverbs 21:21

If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. Romans 12:8

Isaiah 12:2 (NIV) Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.

Thought: When you release your faith, the result is peace.

1 Corinthians 2:16 (NIV) We have the mind of Christ.

Thought: Use it. Every day.

September 30

God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5:7

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 1 John 1:9

Ezekiel 34:26 (NIV) ...I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.

Thought: Let it rain, Lord. Let it rain on me!

Psalm 57:1 (NIV) I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed.

Thought: Every problem or crisis has a turning point. God will get you there.
