Default Walking Humbly

WALKING HUMBLY

Our lives on earth are short. When we lose loved ones, friends and coworkers, we are reminded of this. Our time on earth should be a daily walk with God. We aren’t always going to be perfect in what we do but we can commit to walking with God daily. We can commit to reading His word. We can commit to listening for His will and obeying Him. When we decide to walk humbly with God, He will guide us, walk with us and even carry us when we need it.

Micah 6:8 “No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we want You in our lives today. We want to walk humbly with You seeking Your face, seeking Your will, seeking Your word. Guide us and direct us to put our needs last and look for ways to make an impact to those in need. Reveal to us someone who is close by and needs a listening ear, a gentle word or a humble hand. Help us to remember, all day long, to walk humbly with You so You can use us to make a difference. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We have the choice to walk humbly with God or to walk away from Him.

God wants to help us and to show us the way. We should let our steps be His steps today.

Deciding to walk humbly with Him to day will help us know what He wants us to do.

God will humble those who are too proud and like to boast.

Those who humble themselves before God and commit to walking with Him will be lifted up.

Matthew 23:12 “But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” (NLT)

Focus: Every step we take today should be a step closer to humbly doing God’s will.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
