Ours is a problem that's the same for all of us. That's inside each of us that plays out on the outside of all of us. I was told exactly what my problem was when I came to recovery as we all are, but none of this made any sense to me because while I could hear the words I couldn't understand what was being said by them, or what this all meant to me. I could hear only the words, not the meaning behind them. I became very curious as to why other people seemed to understand what was being said and I didn't. What was it about them that was allowing them to be able do this while I couldn't ? I didn't know. Then I learned that while none of us are able to see the problem that's inside of us, that all of us can see what it's doing to us, if we know what to look for, and those of us who understand what this problem is, are the one's who have been taught exactly what to look for, and anyone who sticks around recovery long enough will be able to learn how to do the same thing so they can also see the problem is that's inside of all of us. Then and only then by connecting all the dots are we able to see and understand our problem and then we become able to do something about having it.
