Default Safely In The Middle

One way that our illness is seen is in how extreme we are in mostly everything. Not only did the program of recovery show me there is a middle ground on all things, it also teaches me how it is I can live there. How not to be so extreme. Usually we meet doing this with some reluctance since we've been living on the edge for so long. My sponsor said to me, you know this isn't a dress rehearsal and that I'd better get on with learning how to live in the middle of life while there is still time.
