Default Righteous Living

RIGHTEOUS LIVING

One gift we all receive is a new day every morning. No matter what has happened in our past, no matter if it even happened yesterday, we have a new morning to start fresh. What we have done wrong in the past can be forgiven by God. What we have been a slave to in this world, we can break free from. God can free us from the chains of sin holding us down and we can become righteous only by His grace. We can become holy when we become slaves to righteous living.

Romans 6:19b “Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for the freedom You have for us in righteous living. Thank You for the opportunities to turn from sin and turn to You. We know today is a new day and we can choose You today. We can choose righteous living. We can choose to be holy. Forgive us of our past sins. Break us from these chains that bind us. We give ourselves to You today. We want to be holy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Now is the best time to turn away from that sin we are guilty of and ask for God’s forgiveness.

Now is the best time to move away from worldly ways and move closer to God.

Now is the best time to thank God for His way and begin living righteously for Him.

Now is the best time to focus on being holy and purposely live a righteous life for God.

Now is the best time to remember we can be free from sin when decide to be a slave to righteous living.

Romans 6:18 “Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.” (NLT)

Focus: Being a slave to righteous living is far greater than being a slave to the world.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
