Default I let go and open to a new experience

Release
I let go and open to a new experience.

Sometimes we are faced with challenges that seem beyond our capabilities. We may try our best to work them out, but it’s easy to let worry get the best of us. When we worry, we may inadvertently hold on to the problem and block a solution.

To free myself from any situation, I open to a new experience—I release the problem to God. As I turn it over to the Power that always works for my highest good, I experience freedom and clarity.

I have faith in the Divine—I know that with God nothing is impossible. I release what I cannot change, ask what is mine to do, and pray for the courage to act as I am guided. In letting go and letting God, I find my way to right answers.
If we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.—Romans 8:25

This is what I was talking about with my friend tonight. Do you let go or do you keep an apron string attached and not completely ready to let go. Do you say it and do it, or do you go through the motion, but don't release. Do you allow others to control you, giving up your own personal power, instead of being who you are and standing up for what you believe in.

Our emotions can keep us attached, and we need to release them and hand all things over to the God of my understanding. I am powerless over people, places, and things.

I found with the neighborhood HOA situation that there is a time to walk away from the fight when it takes too much toll and does not give anything in return. It's time to move on and let God and others deal with the drama. It was hard for me, because I am not a quitter, but God released me from it and made it clear it was time to move on. Too much battling and negativity is not good for my recovery or for my family.

A clip from a Dr. Phil show said it well, "You can be right, or you can be happy." Today I chose to let God take care of justice and I will take care of gratefulness and joy in Him!

It used to baffle me what was meant when they said. "Let it go and let it flow" until I was in a horrendous and intense situation that was so emotionally charged. My entire body was tense, my teeth were clenched, the shoulders were up around my chin, the hands were just as clenched..
When I realized how tense I was and what I needed to do which was to step away and pray that thought came to mind.."Let it go and let it flow"

As I prayed and the peace flowed in my body relaxed..I knew it was not just peace tho
The charged emotions were flowing out as God's peace and love were flowing out..For me the power of God's love is indeed so powerful within the blink of an eye it can change any given situation. The short phrase or words of a song come to mind..."Flowing like a river..."

When we are ..let me rephrase and keep it personal ...When I am tense even my brain is shut down...when I step back and say.."God I need you"..that's all it takes...He is there!
Thank God!

Let go and let it flow...No strings attached and as our recovery journey says...Surrender to win

To let go doesn't mean we are a quitter. Many times we have to let go for ourselves, other times it is best to step aside and allow others to be where they need to be and we go on to what our God wants us to be and go there.

I left another site, I had lots of warning, my cards and meditation, even my sponsor said, "You don't have to go through this and told me twice to quit the site." It was my inability to let go, I was posting for the guests, so they would have something to read when they came to the site, because no one else was posting and sharing. I came to Tammy's sites, and I haven't had that turmoil about what I post and she says that I can never post too much here. Who knows, she may change her mind yet.

Sometimes my posts may seem personal, but I post here just as I would if you met me in my home, at a meeting, or in the community. What you see is what you get. If I am not open, how can I receive.

As I have said before, "When I was using, I was known for a 50 mile radius." I don't care who knows I am in recovery, and I try to carry the message wherever I go. It is my recovery and what I experienced. It isn't just what I learned in an AA meeting, although AA is the foundation of my recovery. I am no longer fragmented, I am whole, there are many parts to me that I had to heal and align with God's will. The program isn't just about the alcohol and pills, it is about all of me.

I know what you mean BW, twice there where so big time moments, where I felt like I was touched by the hand of God. I could feel the energy release from my body from my head to my toes. I have had many times felt the peace and as many people have said, "They see me and see the peace." God just is, and He is a part of my life daily. I don't have to see Him in order to believe Him. He never goes away, if he disappears, it is because I have gone or shut Him out.

Each day is a new experience. As I so often say, "God is as He reveals Himself to me in today.
